💖 It’s That Time of Year Again: A Huge Favor
Friends, it’s that time of year where I have to shamelessly ask for a huge favor.
Christmas can be an extremely difficult time for the incredible kiddos fighting in the hospital. They are there battling cancer, fighting for their lives, recovering from major operations, or learning to deal with a lifelong disability. These challenges came out of nowhere, and being stuck in a hospital during the holidays is profoundly tough for them and their families.
Seattle Children’s Hospital (SCH) is near and dear to my heart because it’s where I spent most of my childhood—and yes, quite a few Christmases. This personal experience is why I’m asking for your help to give them and their families some much-needed joy this holiday season.
🎁 How You Can Bring Joy with Just a Few Clicks
SCH has created several Amazon wish lists to help provide toys, art supplies, and comfort items for both the children and their hardworking parents.
🧸 The Toy Wish List (For the Kids!)
The Seattle Children’s Toy Wish List is full of fun presents like stuffed animals, art kits, and fidget toys that will be passed out to the kids around Christmas. These items help take their minds off stress, anxiety, and the pain of not being home.
Add whatever you want to your cart from the list and check out. It will be delivered automatically to the hospital. You can make a huge difference with just a couple of clicks!
☕ Family Resource Center Wish List (For the Parents!)
Being a parent of a child at SCH means being an endless advocate, often overlooking your own comfort, wants, and needs. By visiting this list, you’re helping the grown-ups who are living there with their children.
You can help provide gift cards for coffee, lotions, soaps, dental supplies, and sleepwear that allow them a moment of relaxation to recharge their batteries.
🎧 Additional Unit Support Wish List
Here is one more wish list to check out! It’s a mix of comforting items, like toys, art supplies, and essential electronics like headphones.

🙏 Thank You!
Oreo and I truly can’t express how much we appreciate all the help you can give these kiddos and their families. Growing up in the hospital is hard to put into words—it sucks. But the kindness of a new stuffed animal, a book to escape into, or a fresh set of clay would always give me some way to escape hell for a little while.
To those of you who take action and send a gift: thank you, Oreo and I love you.
Please share this post or the hospital’s website so we can keep boosting the signal. May you have a happy holiday!
