Holiday gift drive for Seattle Children’s Hospital.
It’s that time of year where I ask for a huge favor, Christmas is an extremely difficult time for kiddos in the hospitals. They’re there fighting for their lives, recovering from major operations, battling cancer, learning to deal with a lifelong disability and many other challenges that came out of nowhere. This post is to shamelessly ask for help to give them and their families some joy during the Christmas holiday.
Here’s the webpage for Seattle Children’s Hospital holiday gift drive. SCH is near and dear to my heart, it’s where I spent most of my childhood and yes quite a few Christmases. Below you’ll find links to several Amazon wish lists created by SCH to help provide toys, art and craft supplies and comfort items. Not only will you have the chance to help the kids, but you can contribute by purchasing much-needed supplies for their parents who are there in the hospital with them. Being a parent of a child in SCH means advocating for the child’s needs and making sure they’re comfortable and as happy as possible within the situation. This often means overlooking your own comfort, wants, and needs.

Thank You!
I can’t express how much Oreo, and I appreciate all the help you all can give to these kiddos and their families. As I said, growing up in the hospital sucks and is hard to put into words. The kindness of a new stuffed animal, a book to escape into, a toy, or clay would always give me some way to escape hell for a while. So, to those of you who take action and send a gift, thank you, Oreo and I love you. Please share this post or share the hospital’s website so we can keep boosting the signal. May you have a happy holiday!
